Nmap is a network scanner created by Gordan Lyon. Nmap is used to discover hosts and services on a computer network by sending packets and analyzing the responses. It's an open-source tool for network exploration and security auditing. It was designed to rapidly scan large networks. It's available for all OS.

root@kali:# apt-get install nmap                                                                        (For kali linux Command) 

 How to use Nmap

1. root@kali:# man nmap
   
2. root@kali:# nmap -h                                                                                    ( -h = For help )
   

   • If we want to know The IP address of a website.

      root@kali:# nmap google.com

     

   • We can also scan an IP Address
     root@kali:# nmap 142.250.192.174
